Now available: Markus Guentner / Gradient Spirits (ASIP032)

The lockdown has inspired many artists and none more so than Markus Guentner. Not only did Markus prepare a special live set recently for Data.Wave, but Markus also had this lovely Live set in him, which to me is the equivalent and worthiness of any full album release. A magical, sweeping and majestic hour’s worth of improvised material, available for you to download as ‘Name Your Price’ over on Bandcamp.

With mastering by our regular-master-controller, Rafael Anton Irisarri, Gradient Spirits highlights Guentner at his very best since his last album on ASIP (Empire), and should live shows resume sometime soon, this set is a brilliant example of the journey Markus can create within a live setting.

Buy / download on Bandcamp.

Now available: Wanderwelle / A State of Decrepitude

Pre-order: Wanderwelle / A State Of Decrepitude (ASIPV021)

I’ve been a big admirer of Phil and Alexander's music for years now.

Their albums on Silent Season remain some of the most unique music you'll hear touching on the dub-techno/ambient realm, and their latest album last year alongside Isorinne as Bandhagens Musikförening, was just as beautiful and intriguing.

The new Wanderwelle album for ASIP is a dark and delicious dive into a new world, peppered with samples, textures and field recordings, all manipulated into a slowly decaying sense of dystopian reality.

Now available: Olga Wojciechowska / Unseen Traces EP

ASIP031.png

Olga Wojciechowska presents a new piano-focused EP ready for this, the 88th day of 2020, and perhaps more appropriately, as music for our times.

Including two tracks that were previously written for dance pieces and one new composition, these softer acoustic productions don't often find their way on to Olga's full-length albums, so instead are presented here for Piano Day 2020 and as a musical remedy for the listener.

Mastered by Rafael Anton Irisarri and featuring artwork by Marco Vannini, who provided the lovely art for Olga’s 2019 LP, Infinite Distances.

Available now on Bandcamp as a digital download.

“I hope this music will soothe your nerves and bring you some kind of enlightenment that we are drowning in it all together, here and now, as one organism.Let’s start working on rebuilding what we haven’t lost.Silence will not protect you.Speak up,be creative,be kind,..your flock will not let you fall”
— Olga Wojciechowska
