GUNNAR JÓNSSON COLLIDER / Iceland

From psychedelic IDM to experimental pop to ambient music, Gunnar Jónsson Collider released a wide range of music in the 2010s. Besides a string of EPs, remixes, and the LP 'Aeons' in 2017, Gunnar Jónsson Collider’s music has been featured in documentaries and on releases from labels all over the world.

Born in Reykjavík, Iceland, Gunnar Jónsson has been making music since he was a child, performing in bands and as a session player live and in the studio for people like Ben Frost, Ane Brun and Damo Suzuki (of Krautrock band CAN) before branching out with his solo project.

With the project now entering its second decade, Gunnar Jónsson Collider’s music continues to evolve whilst maintaining its exploration of transcendent sonic textures. Melding the warmth of analog synthesis and the mind-bending possibilities of the digital domain. Blurring the boundaries between music and visuals, harmony and noise, cosmos and chaos.
